Also known as:
Certified Pro, CoBuy Pro
A professional credential for real estate agents trained in co-ownership fundamentals, group dynamics, and the CoBuy ecosystem.
CoBuy-certified™ Pro is a professional credential for real estate agents who have completed structured training in co-ownership fundamentals, group dynamics, and the CoBuy ecosystem. The designation signals that an agent has demonstrated competency in supporting multi-party buyers — groups of friends, relatives, unmarried partners, and others purchasing a home together — and understands the decisions, risks, and coordination that shared homeownership requires.
When a real estate agent holds the CoBuy-certified™ Pro credential, it means they have completed a competency course and passed a final assessment covering co-ownership structures, financing considerations, legal safeguards, group viability, alignment frameworks, and the tools within the CoBuy ecosystem — including Co-ownerOS™ and the CoBuy Wizard. The training is built on CoBuy's experience supporting multi-party homebuyers. A certified agent can recognize alignment issues early, communicate professional boundaries clearly, and help groups navigate the additional complexity that multi-party transactions introduce.
The CoBuy-certified™ Pro designation does not make an agent an employee, representative, or partner of CoBuy. It does not authorize agents to provide legal, tax, or financial advice. It does not guarantee referrals, lead distribution, or any specific outcome for consumers. Certified agents are independent licensed professionals — the credential reflects training and competency, not an agency or brokerage relationship with CoBuy. All feasibility, readiness, and risk assessments are produced by CoBuy through tools such as the CoBuy Decision Brief™, not by individual agents.
CoBuy-certified™ Pros operate within a broader ecosystem designed to support co-buyers and co-owners across the full co-ownership lifecycle. Groups that complete the CoBuy Wizard and receive a CoBuy Decision Brief™ may be introduced to a certified agent if they opt in. Certified agents understand the governance and agreement frameworks within Co-ownerOS™ at a literacy level — they can describe what the tools do and why they matter, without operating or interpreting them on behalf of clients.
The credential requires completion of a structured competency course and a final assessment. Certification is valid for twelve months and must be renewed annually to maintain the designation, badge, and brand usage rights. CoBuy reserves the right to revoke certification for misuse or conduct inconsistent with its professional standards.
